Some Updates
I installed Sims 2 a few weeks ago with all the stuff packs and expansion packs. :) Since I don't have Photoshop anymore, I installed a free photo editing program, GIMP. I read several tutorials about it for editing my Sims 2 screenshots for a new legacy that I'm working on.
I have ideas (along with pictures and story boards) for three legacies that I am currently taking pictures of.
First, the Kenner Legacy using the Sim made by katu_sims for the Founder Challenge 3 for legacy_writers even though I didn't make it in time for my first posting. No matter. I'll just post it here and a couple of Sims 2 communities here on Live Journal that I'm a member of. I am thinking of making it a pixel_trade legacy, too.
Second, I want to continue the Gomboski Legacy. I could continue it using just Annabeth. She was going to be heir anyway. :) Or I could restore the neighborhood at some point and continue on from there. I'm probably just restart it with Annabeth, even though she won't remember anything else. :(
Third, I made a new Sim on the same lines of simmericangirl's Adora Rose. She's not totally like Adora but she's blond with S3 skin. :) I named my Sim, Linda Hill. You will see her as a guest star in the Kenner Legacy. Watch for the Hill Legacy soon.
Anyway, I love my new computer. The Sims 2 experience is pretty damn good! I can see reflections, the cut screens, the fish in the water and in the fishtank! It is awesome!

Got a new computer!
I bought a new DELL Studio 540 computer and it has a great graphics card and a 500 GB hard drive. :) The operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium. Looking forward to put Sims 2 and X-Files stuff on the computer. :)

So my computer died....
My computer died via a black screen of death back in December. So that means that I can't play my Sims 2 game right now. :( Currently, I am using a borrowed laptop right now. I know that I'll be getting to get a new computer. :) I would love to do the new founder challenge but I don't know if I'll have my new computer in time.
I still have my saved games plus my X-Files collection on external drives. I'm very thankful of my hindsight of putting my stuff on USB drives.

About the Gomboski Legacy update...plus a new legacy!
I know I need to post a Gomboski update. I should have done it a long time ago, but I've been having writer's block and dealing with their glitchy neighborhood. :( I took a lot of pics though. I'm hoping to post an update soon.
However, I've been playing a new legacy founder, Virginia Leland. :)

Yup, I had the surgery...
On August 19th, I had my gallbladder surgery and it was successful. Right now, I am still in a bit of pain and am taking pain medicine. I feel a lot better than I did yesterday, that's for sure. I think it will be a week until I feel like doing my normal activities.
Of course, I still need to post another installment of my Gomboski Legacy. I have the pictures all uploaded to Photobucket. Plus, I need to figure out a good commentary for them.

My surgery got postponed
I got a call today informing me that my surgery got postponed to sometime later this month. Ugh. I have been doing to pre-op for it and now I'll have to do it all again... Sigh.

I'm going to have surgery....and other Misc. stuff...
My gallbladder surgery is on August 8th. It is going to be outpatient and they told me to not to worry, but I'm still worried about it. Hopefully, everything will be OK.
I'm going to try to update my Gomboski Legacy before then. I want to make sure that I stay in the challenge at legacy_writers. :D I am going to make a new legacy for pixel_trade using a Sim that katu made.
I am seeing the new X-Files movie either tomorrow or sometime this weekend! :D I am hoping that seeing Mulder and Scully will spark SOMETHING in me to grab my pen and paper to write fanfic again...because I've been playing Sims 2 almost nonstop.

Previously, Alyssa went through a devastating miscarriage and learned the importance of taking care of herself and her daughter, Annabeth.
Alyssa: After my miscarriage, I devoted all my time to Annabeth. I taught her how to use the potty.
Alyssa: I taught her how to talk...
Alyssa: How to walk...
Alyssa: Annabeth is very smart. She learned everything so perfectly.
Alyssa: I was pleased to know that she was developing into a wonderful little charming girl, yet crafty little girl. After I put her to bed in the afternoon for one of her naps, she learned how to get out herself. I have a feeling that's she going to take after me, becoming a Knowledge Sim.
Annabeth: I met Cristina Mooran that day. She's a Servo/Human and she's working with Mooran family. She successfully took care of two alien/human teens from babyhood to childhood. She's involved with Suzanna Mooran and they have a newborn daughter. Life in Harborview is certainly interesting!
Alyssa: I talked Cristina into staying for a short time so she can babysit Annabeth while I take care of my body while I heal from miscarriage. I would like to have another baby someday. I might have to adopt...
Alyssa: After I did some exercise, I decided to catch up on some chores.
Alyssa: While I was sunbathing, I finally remembered that I needed to teach her one more thing before Annabeth becomes a child. I decided to teach her a nursery rhyme.
Alyssa: It took until dark until Annabeth can sing it successfully.
Coming soon: Annabeth becomes a child. Will Alyssa give birth again or will she adopt? Will she choose Ben or Alex? Or will there be a new man in her life?

Computer problems...
My computer is making me mad. It is rapidly losing memory all the time. I think the kernal memory of some programs ::: coughsSims2coughs:: due to Securom. Yeah, it is making me sad and angry.

I'm Scared. I need surgery. :(
I guess that I'm still in shock. I found out yesterday that I need surgery because I have gallstones in my gallbladder. Not happy. :( And very, very scared. I'm scared of needles.

Alyssa: After Alex and I woohooed, Jessica Brantly stopped by. We all watched TV and had some dessert. I told Jessica and Alex that I'm pregnant. Let's just say the conversation was amusing...
Jessica: Do you rock her milkshake?
Alex: Yes, I love her milkshake.
Alyssa: : blushing :
Alyssa: Afterwards, Jessica and I played kicky bag while Alex watched. After they left, I noticed that Annabeth needed a diaper change.
Alyssa: I put Annabeth down because I was losing my unborn child. I felt so devastated.
Alyssa: I was so devastated about losing my unborn baby that I could barely concentrate on my living child...
Me: DAMN INTEEN! :( She almost lost Annabeth when Alyssa was pregnant with her!
Annabeth: Mommy, are you all right?
Alyssa: I am still devastated.
Me: DAMN INTEEN! I tried to prevent it, but I really couldn't. :(
Alyssa: On a happy note, Annabeth grew up to be a toddler. Now, I couldn't wait to teach her all the skills that she'll need...
Alyssa: I think she's a pretty toddler.
Alyssa: I love playing with her.
Alyssa: Annabeth learned how to use a potty.
Alyssa: And then I was teaching her how to talk.
